Prof. Fredrick C. F. Otieno, MB,ChB.; MMed.; FRCP; is an Associate Professor, Department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics; and Dean of the School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi, Kenya. His research focuses mainly on understanding the diabetic patient characteristics, the risk factor profile for diabetes related complications, the quality of care provided and attempts to empower the care providers to improve the quality of care and outcomes. Prof C.F Otieno takes a lot of interest in improvement of lives of patients through training and mentorship of all healthcare workers that train or practice with him and elsewhere in the region.
